NEVAEH ORTIZ
DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND RECRUITEMENT




Nevaeh Ortiz currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement and Recruitment for the Student Government Association at Abilene Christian University. She is a Junior from Fort Worth, Texas, majoring in Psychology with a minor in public service.
Throughout her time at ACU, Nevaeh has passionately pursued opportunities to serve and uplift underrepresented communities. She has held leadership roles as Chaplain for the Hispanic Student Association and as a Peer Mentor for ACU’s First-Generation Program. She also works as a student assistant at Wildcat Central and serves as the Rush Coordinator for Omicron Xi Chi. Nevaeh is also an Undergraduate Research Assistant through the McNair Scholars Program, where she contributes to academic research aimed at increasing access to graduate education for first-gen and minority students. In addition to her role in SGA, her campus involvement extends to the Honors College, LYNAY, and being a Pope Fellow recipient.
Above all, Nevaeh is passionate about helping every student at ACU find their place, discover their purpose, and grow into the person that God has uniquely called them to be.
